Description and Tags

This XrmToolBox tool allows you to bulk update the descriptions of the tables and columns by exporting to .csv file and re-importing back with updated descriptions. (developed by Paul Redstone and Clew Consulting team).

Updating the description of the tables and columns one by one manually can be time-consuming and a lot of mouse clicks involved.

To update the descriptions quickly, you can use this tool to export the current descriptions of the tables and columns as a .csv file, update them in Excel and re-import it back afterwards. You can also add the tags for the columns at the end of the description with a special delimiter. (e.g. [PI2][Sprint9][Marketing][HiddenFlag])
