Attachments Copy Tool with Reverse Option

This XrmToolBox tool allows you to copy and rollback notes attachments from one Microsoft Dataverse environment to another based on exported data file from the Configuration Migration tool (developed by Michael Kalinovich).

The Configuration Migration tool by Microsoft does not allow copying of file attachments of the Notes table.

To copy the attachments from one environment to another, you can use this tool to migrate/copy file attachments along with records copied by the Configuration Migration tool.

• Copy attachments from one environment to another (Fig. 1, Pt. 1 and Pt.9)
• Select the source (Fig. 1, Pt. 2) and target environments (Fig. 1, Pt. 3)
• Select the exported data file from the Configuration Migration tool (Fig. 1, Pt. 5)
• Specify whether to copy Notes without file attachment (Fig. 1, Pt. 6)
• Specify whether to export the list of created notes which is required to rollback (Fig. 1, Pt. 7) and select the file (Fig. 1, Pt. 8) (currently not working in the latest version 9.2.2.8)
• Rollback and delete the attachment files created in the step above (Fig. 2, Pt. 1 and Pt.5)
• Select the target environment (Fig. 2, Pt. 3)
• Select the list of created notes exported in (Fig. 1, Pt. 7) to process (Fig. 2, Pt. 4)
